Q: How does the lock work?

A: The lock is mechanical, there are no batteries to change or that can fail when you need to get into your case quickly.

Q: Why isn't there a key backup

A: Adding a key back up would create another way for someone to break into the safe.

Q: What if I want to change the combination?

A: The combination can be changed and we recommend it, Directions are included with each case.

Q: Can I change the combination to anything I want?

A: No, each button can only be used one time.

Q: How many of the buttons on the lock can I use for my combination?

A: You can use as few as one button or all five of the buttons for your combination. You can use two buttons at once but in total, you can use each button only once?

Q: Can I call V-line if I have trouble changing my combination.

A: Yes, call 1-805-520-4987

Q: What happens if I forget my combination?

A: There is no way to get in the safe if you forget your combination. It is important for you to give the combination to someone you trust or put it somewhere secret.

Q: Is there a warranty on the safe?

A: The lock and safe carry a one year warranty.

Q: How can I protect a small case from being carried off?

A: We strongly recommend the case be bolted down. Each case comes with mounting holes which you can use to bolt down. You can also purchase a mounting bracket, which allows for quick release and portable storage when you plan to have the case at different locations.

Q: Is it hard to install the Quick Vault in the wall:

A: It is quite easy since the safe is not very deep. Check your wall location ahead to be sure there are no wires or pipes. Follow the instructions that come with the safe and cut the correct size hole in the wall. Then you can slide the Quick Vault in the hold and bolt it to the studs through the holes in the side of the Vault.
